Westgate River Ranch

Westgate River Ranch is located East of Lake Wales - a fairly straightforward drive from US 27.

The Ranch is surrounded by 100000 acre wildlife preserve.

Every Saturday night the Ranch hosts a real live Western style Rodeo.

The stands seat approx 1000 people , more than half of this is undercover - which is a great idea as when we visited we had a huge thunderstorm towards the end of the rodeo.

The rodeo includes Bull Riding, Barrell Racing, Calf Roping, Calf Scramble and a Greasy Pig Chase for the kids

We found that it was very worthwhile driving down to the rodeo.
