Posner park
Posner Park is a brand new shopping centre situated on the north bound side of the US 27 at the I-4 intersection. If you are travelling from Orlando/Tampa it is junction 55 of the I-4, exit and take the south bound lane signed Haines City. The park is on the Right if you are traveling up from Southern Dunes and on the left from I-4 and there are traffic lights controlling the entrance. It is built on the site of an old baseball complex.
The Park covers over 350 acres and already has a good mix of stores open including JC Penney, Dicks sporting goods, Michaels, Target, Ross, Dollar Tree, Belk, Payless Shoes, Pet Smart and a Million Books. Target ands are my wife’s favorites!
Ross {dress for less} has all of the designer goods with plenty of real bargains. As the stock turns over quickly its worth a visit several times during your stay. You never know what will take your eye. Designer handbag to the obligatory extra bag to take all the goodies back home, clothing and wonderful accessories for your home. This store is always worth a visit
In Target they have clothes, toys, household goods, sports equipment, stationery, a garden centre and a small groceries department. It’s great if you want to browse the store and just need a few food items for supper! They stock a little of everything, including fresh fruit and vegetables, the choice is not as large as a Wal-Mart but it doesn’t take so long to walk around and it is not so congested! If you are in a hurry it is ideal.
JC Penney is a department store. The shoe department is great! They stock everything from high fashion to trainers! And they have a large, very well stocked clothes department which again caters for all tastes plus menswear, a teenagers section and young childrenswear too!
Belk have good quality feel to the bedding and they have some very good deals on clothing for men and women alike.
Dicks Sporting Goods is a sport mans dream, whether from football to camping you find whatever you need right here. The golf department has a fitting service which when coupled with the excellent prices on offer is a real draw for all those golfers out there.
The Park is still growing and more stores are opening all the time. There is plenty of parking and if you prefer not to walk between shops (especially if it is hot) you can park outside each shop! Eventually it will have a tree lined access drive and include more restaurants and entertainment venues too. Every time we visit it is fun to see how much it has developed and if a new outlet has opened that we are interested in browsing around! |
